Adventures Land | Build x Play

Design Brief

The project is a collaboration with HCSA to build a play space for children. To design an earth-friendly space where beneficiaries people of all ages can relax and have fun.

Reflection

During this whole project, my team and I have worked closely with HSCA staffs and also the beneficiaries, both the parent and their children. Through this service-learning, I understand more about the charitable organisation and the people that they help. As a person that really enjoy interacting with kids, I was really happy to hear the ideas of the kids. Hence, I was able to develop concepts and ideas based on their many wild suggestions through the activities we do at the festival.

At the festival, we did life-size snake and ladder, Playdoh building with our own props added. Through this, we learned many things and one of them will be that kids enjoy things of extreme sizes such as very tiny or very huge. Of course, when designing for kids safety is important and as a group, as we design we have made safety as our priority. Although met with some issues along the way, we managed to work it out as a group and continue to work harmoniously. I am very grateful and happy to be work harmoniously. I am very grateful and happy to be able to work with my group mates and am glad to say that we gave our very best and are satisfied.
